The operation of VMX series of motor soft starter

If there are special requirements, it can be adjusted appropriately, and the adjustment is often operated by using the digital operation interface, that is, the commonly known "panel" or "operation keyboard"
(I) operation interface
vmx series soft starter control interface includes: 8 high brightness LED, 7 function setting keyboard, 4 seven segment nixie tube display modules. Its functions are listed in the table

1. Status display mode
status display mode displays seven messages: motor current (three-phase), thermal overload capacity, grounding current, program timer remaining time and clock controller time
status mode:
[0000.] The first message displayed after power on indicates phase a current
[0000] press the up arrow to display phase B current, and then press the up arrow to display phase C current
[g000] press the up arrow to display, indicating the grounding current

[h000] press the up arrow to display, indicating thermal overload capacity. For example, h070=70% thermal overload capacity
[0000] press the up arrow to display, indicating the program timer. If the screen flashes, it indicates that the timing time is up
[00.00] press the up arrow to display two values separated by decimal points, indicating the clock controller. If [00.00] is displayed, the clock controller is not activated. It can be set through f080-f080

2. Programming mode
enter the programming mode, and the soft starter must be shut down. The parameters of different functions can be viewed or set in the programming mode. Press the [fn] key to enter the programming mode. If you enter the programming mode for the first time, the number [f001] will flash after power on. If the VMX has been set and the power is turned on, the last viewed or changed function will be displayed. Use the arrow keys to change the display
(1) browse programmable functions and parameters
each programmable function can be viewed without changing (parameters can also be viewed without changing in the running state). Each function is preceded by the letter "F". Press the read/enter key to display the parameters
[f001] the letter "F" indicates function; [0000] represents the set value of the current function, and the display may have a decimal point due to the different range of function parameter settings and the minimum increase

(2) password protection/parameter locking
figure programming mode
vmx series can select password protection through [f070]. If parameters need to be protected, passwords can be set in [f070]. If pressing re is attractive, the ad/enter key displays [err] indicating that the parameter is locked
(3) change the parameter setting
when the read/enter key is pressed, the function parameters will be displayed, and a digit will flash (usually the rightmost digit). A flashing number indicates that the current number can be changed. Use the up and down direction keys to increase or decrease the value, and use the left and right keys to change the next value to be changed. The value can be adjusted within the adjustment range

press the read/enter key to save the new parameter, [end] flashes to indicate that the new parameter has been saved, and the function number will be displayed after flashing
(4) change the function parameters
you can change the size of function parameters through the up and down arrows

press the FN key, [f001] indicates that this is function 001 (motor full load current), and the flashing number 1 indicates that it can be changed
press the up arrow twice, [f003] indicates that this is function 3 (motor starting overload level)
press the read/enter key to view the F003 parameter, [0010] indicates that the motor starting overload level is level 10, and the number 0 on the far right flashes

press the up arrow again to change the parameters, [0020] indicates that the motor starting overload level is level 20, and the number 0 on the far right flashes
press the read/enter key to save the parameters, [end] end flashes once, indicating that the parameters have been saved, and the screen then displays the function number
(5) save parameters
when the parameter is changed to a predetermined value, press the read/enter key to save the parameter. The screen displays end and changes to function number
note: if the equipment is powered off before pressing the read/enter key, the parameters will not be saved
3. Fault display mode
fault display mode displays fault information, and users can also view fault records. The fault code is three letters, the first two are the English abbreviations of the fault, and the last one is a, C or D. "A" indicates the acceleration phase, "C" indicates the operation class, and "d" indicates the deceleration phase

check the fault record, [pla.] Indicates phase failure in acceleration phase, and decimal point indicates recent fault
press the up arrow, [ibc] indicates the phase to phase imbalance during operation
press the up arrow, [olc] indicates overload during operation
press the reset key, [rst] flashes once, indicating that the recent fault has been successfully reset. If it cannot be reset, it will display [inh]
[0000.] Return to the default display surface, indicating that the soft starter can be restarted
fault records are only generated when faults occur. You can use the up and down arrows to view the history records. You can check the failure time and date through f085 to f093
(1) fault reset
after troubleshooting, press the reset key, and the screen will return to the status display mode. Press the [reset] key on the panel to reset the fault. Most faults will reset automatically when the soft starter is powered on again. Unless there is enough time for the thermal overload relay to recover to the ability to restart, it cannot be started
(2) remote reset
most faults will reset automatically when the soft starter is powered on again. A dynamic breaking contact (or button) can be connected to the control circuit of A1 or A2 for remote reset

vmx series can automatically reset minor faults and overload faults. See the table for the settings of automatic reset for non serious faults and the table for the settings of automatic reset for overloads
